Amperage

Amperage is a measurement of the strength of the current in electricity.  When multiplied by voltage, it gives you the wattage of the electrical energy.  Many devices, such as inverters and disconnects, are rated by their ability to handle different amounts of amperage.  Circuit breakers are rated by amperage.
